Wheatus frontman on their multi-platinum, ubiquitous 2001 classic, Wheatus. "I grew up idolizing Rush & AC/DC. Bands that last forever...One of the fears I had when Dirtbag kicked off was that it would get old quick or be received as a fad...I was wrong to worry about that. It feels new every night. I think that's because it's hard to play correctly, but what the hell do I know?"

GRUESOME: A homage to Chuck Schuldiner and Death Latest Story...
GRUESOME: A homage to Chuck Schuldiner and Death
Masterminded by guitarist/vocalist Matt Harvey (Exhumed) and drummer Gus Rios' (Malevolent Creation) and their involvement with the 'Death To All' tours, what seemed to be a drunken conversation about their love for the band DEATH quickly became a few demo'd tracks and then the reality that is GRUESOME.

Members of Exhumed, Possessed, Malevolent Creation and Derketa got together to form the band. With a few tracks released via Bandcamp, the band were soon picked up by Relapse. As such, their debut full-length, Savage Land, released earlier this week via the label.

GRUESOME is a homage to death metal's most celebrated founding American acts, Death. It's a delightfully punishing display of late-'80s/early-'90s Florida-styled death metal that keeps the true sound and spirit of Chuck Schuldiner and Death alive.

Savage Land Track Listing:
1. Savage Land
2. Trapped In Hell
3. Demonized
4. Hideous
5. Gangrene
6. Closed Casket
7. Psychic Twin
8. Gruesome
