| When will the judging take place? Entries
will close on July 17th 2007 and the results will be announced on August
1st 2007 |
| What can I win if I enter? The 5 bands with most votes in each category will be
awarded Certificates confirming their status and providing a genuine seal
of approval with which to promote themselves. The 5 bands with most votes overall will get a free 2 month advertising campaign on TotalRock valued at over £500 ($1000). Their winning song will be given prominent exposure on the TotalRock playlist for 8 weeks and a podcast including an interview with the band and a selection of their songs will be created. |
| What will I get when I enter? You will receive
an e-Certificate confirming your nomination in each category you enter.
Your song will be posted on the category's page along with a picture, a
link to your website, your profile and voting buttons. Your music will also
be played on special radio shows on TotalRock on Mondays at 2pm, Wednesdays
at 3am and Fridays at midday during the awards. We are planning a TotalRock
Survival Guide, containing advice on all areas of the music industry written
by experts in each field, including advice from successful bands. You will
receive a copy of that once it is ready. |
| How do I enter the awards? Click on the 'Enter your band' link at the bottom of the Awards homepage. Chose the category you wish to enter and fill in the form. You will need to provide all the requested information and have your track ready for uploading. Use the 'Profile' space to sell your band to the voters and say why they should vote for you. The upload process may take several minutes depending on the size of your mp3 file and your upload bandwidth. After a successful upload you will be asked to pay the entry fee of £10.00. If you don't wish to pay using PayPal, click on the alternative payment link. Your track will only appear in the awards after payment is confirmed. This will happen immediately if you are using PayPal. |
| Why won't my track upload? Your track must be in mp3 format and it must be less than 6MB in size. If you still have problems contact the awards helpdesk using the email link at the top of this page. |
| Can I enter more than 1 song? You can only enter 1 song in any category. If your band fits more than one category you can enter 1 song into each of them. |
| There isn't a category that fits my music. If you wish to suggest a new music category click on the 'Add a new category' link at the bottom of the Entry page. Your suggestion will be added if it is agreed by the awards team. |
| Is there a language restriction for entries? Songs in any language can be entered. |
| How do I vote for a song? Each song in the View Entries screen has 2 voting buttons marked 2 votes and 5 votes. Click on one of these buttons, then chose Paypal or another way to pay for your votes. 2 votes cost £0.50 and 5 votes cost £1.00. Your votes will not be counted until you have paid. |
