"Peace Machine"
as featured by Alli-Cat
Starseed have self released one of the strongest albums of 2009. Peace Machine was recorded at Stake Out Studios with producer Jason Wilcock (Rueben, Ghost Of A Thousand) and comprises of 12 hard hitting heavy, yet melodic tracks incorporating themes of love, anger, inspiration, spirituality, feeling the hurt caused by family illness, and most present: rising above suppression through self belief. Starseed deliver each track with a punch incorporating sounds of 90’s grunge, metal and heavy rock. Recent comparisons include Pearl Jam, Soil, Alexisonfire and Cancer Bats, but this album beats any release from the afore mentioned this year. The single is ‘Shine’ which deservingly has received major national radio play recently and comes with a stunning music video. Other stand out tracks include ‘See Through Your Lies’ which boasts imaginative riffery with mesmerising harmonies, comparable to Alice In Chains, ‘Pills’ is a two minute long punch in the face with enough drum fills and roars to knock the wind out of any self respecting mosh-head. Available now to download from iTunes, or physical copy from www.planetstarseed.com. This is the bands second full length release and an incredible piece of work that deserves place on the CD shelf with the biggest names in rock.
