Bruce Springsteen and Sir Paul McCartney had the plug pulled on them at Hard Rock Calling on Saturday, July 14. McCartney had joined The Boss for versions of ‘I Saw Her Standing There’ and ‘Twist & Shout’. But, as they’d already gone beyond the planned 10.30pm curfew, they weren’t allowed to thank the fans, and had to leave the stage in silence.
